What is a Sales Funnel

We recently sat down with Telcowin’s BD Manager, Shweta, to learn more about sales funnels and how it benefits businesses. Shweta explains that a sales funnel is a funnel used to filter out one’s customers from the top of the funnel to the bottom. It essentially looks like an upside down pyramid or… a literal funnel.

Every step of the funnel denote a customer’s journey through their potential purchase and it gives business owners an insight into their customers’ wants and needs. Equipped with this wealth of information, marketers are better abled at planning a marketing strategy.

A sales funnel begins from the moment your customer hears about your product or service. Along the way, the customer’s interest level will decide whether or not the customer moves down the funnel.

According to Shweta, having a sales funnel ensures you remove challenges and obstacles in approaching and convincing your customer to make the purchase ultimately.

Shweta discusses the different levels of a sales funnel, how to design one for your business and she also shares a use case of a successful sales funnel. You can check out the highly informative conversation in this week’s Telcowin Tech Talk episode at podcasts.telcowin.com
