Preparing for Salesforce Exams

We previously spoke to three Telcowinners on Salesforce certifications. This time around, we go into more details with two more Telcowinners, Dhijay and Suba. Suba shared his story of how he sat for his first Salesforce Admin exam while working at his previous place of employment.

The process is generally the same with any organisation which conducts business with Salesforce. Essentially the first step is to get a voucher from your employer to sit for the examination free of charge.

That said, any individual interested in sitting for a Salesforce exam can choose to pay to sit for the exams themselves. Examinations for the admin certificate are priced at USD200 and if one were to fail the first round, they are able to re-sit the exam at the cost of USD100.

For higher level certificates, the prices start at USD400. As mentioned in the podcast episode entitled Salesforce Certifications & Exams, these certificates allow individuals to become a valuable asset for their employers and any employers looking to hire individuals with Salesforce knowledge and experience.

Quoting Dhijay, having a certificate not only enables him to have a basic understanding of a particular Salesforce product, it also gives him the confidence to explain a feature or an entire product to customers and potential customers.
