Change Management
Most organisations are familiar with change management and what its objectives are but in speaking with Telcowin’s Change Management Manager, Mayamin, we went deeper into the actual process.
According to Mayamin, change management is all about managing people and asking them to accept change. That said, human nature is not naturally open to change. While it is not impossible, the process requires the right people with the right plan. A successful change management process of course ensures that a business’ investment does not go to waste.
So how is change management carried out? The first step is to identify stakeholders, followed by how the change will affect users and management alike. Change management agents then think of ways on how to bring awareness while educating users.
This usually includes surveys and trainings. The final step is to move users towards acceptance and normalising the particular change.
Mayamin says another key towards success is keeping in touch via face to face interactions, even if it is via video calls. However, even with a clear cut plan, challenges often arise every step of the way.
